Well, we're back to work after our annual vacation. It sure doesn't seem like 334 days. Man, the time just flew by. Sometimes I think the union sold us out when they agreed to a 31 day work year. I mean, what were they thinking? You call that negotiating? It seems to me that the representatives of the UEFWA (United Elves and Fairy Workers of America) only care about adding to their own fat money pouches. They don't care about the little peop... uh, the small... umm... umm... the wee peo... they don't care about us!

And while I'm on the subject; who was the idiot that bargained for us to wear these stupid pointy shoes and hats? Do you have any idea how hard it is to meet girls wearing these things? Trust me, "the chicks do not dig 'em!" I'd really like to be able to kick it in a nice Armani suit once in a while. Not that I could afford it on an Elf's salary, of course. It's been almost 650 years since my last raise, and even though I'm single, like most Elves, (see pointy shoes issue above) it's getting harder to make ends meet.

In fact, just last week the price of Igloo Ice went up again. Yes, we live in Igloos. What? Did you think we all lived in a happy little Elf Commune, where it's peace, love and harmony all the time? Wake up and smell the Mistletoe people! We have real issues and real problems, just like you!

And if things weren't tough enough already, Santa recently added a new warehouse to the East wing of the North Pole. It was built to house the Cobbler division. Why do they call them Cobblers anyway? Nobody wears Cobbles. They wear Shoes! Hey, here's an idea! Why not give me a big fat raise and a bottle of Shoe Glue and I'll make the darn shoes!

Anyway, as I was saying; we're all back to work again. Except for Santa. He's still stuck down in Washington DC, trying to explain economics to a bunch of Trolls. But he'll be back soon and this whole operation will get rockin' again, just in time to deliver all those wonderful presents!

Oh, by the way, the number one stocking stuffer on everyone's wish list this year? Twinkies!
