Dual purpose bench block. A solid steel block sits inside a base of hard vulcanized rubber, which helps dampen noise and vibration. Use the steel block for flattening, chasing or stamping wire and sheet. Flip over to use the rubber base when a softer surface is needed.

Why do I need this item? Hammering wire or sheet against a smooth, solid, surface is necessary in order to "harden" the material so that it will retain its' finished shape. Use this item in conjunction with our HA223 Chasing Hammer, or HA422 Rawhide Hammer.
