Mixed Feelings
I ordered for a project. One came in with the center piece badly bent. I was able to take it apart and 'kind of' fix it but you can still see the dent. Pros: Cheap. Cons: can bend/come apart fairly easily.

To open the latch squeeze the two tabs at the same time that are located at the end and it will spring open.

3-1/8" is the overall length. These are made in China and not in France.
