The universal healing stone that has been used as a substitute for more expensive gemstones throughout time. 12% of the earth's crust is composed of this 'rock crystal'. Because quartz is harder than glass, it was commonly used to make crystal balls in the middle Ages.

There are two forms of quartz; Macrocrystalline quartz (quartz that is recognizable with the naked eye) and Microcrystalline or Cryptocrystalline quartz (too small a crystal to be seen without high magnification, such as chalcedony). Both kinds are found in Brazil, Madagascar, Namibia, both the French and Swiss Alps and the U.S.

Be Aware!

These are absolutely breathtaking little beads! The colors are stunningly vibrant and cheerful, and I'm so excited to make use of them! Please do be aware that cherry quartz is a synthetic glass/stone made from silica sand (made most commonly from quartz and used in glass manufacturing the world over!) and are technically classified as a manmade glass. These beautiful beads will liven up any project, but if you use these supplies to make and sell jewelry, PLEASE DO be aware of their classification. I bought them in several sizes and am ovewhelmingly pleased, but it's best to know these things.

Dainty gems!

I haven't used these in a project just yet, but have wonderful ideas for these little gems! The cherry color is just a little deeper than the rose quartz, but they still have that light, airy look of their counterparts. Though they are reconstituted, the color and clarity looks consistent on the strand. I'm really excited to include these in one of my next projects!

Great quality!!

So beautiful and vibrant. Each bead is slightly different, which makes them each gorgeous on their own. Definitely great quality and the least expensive you can find for such quality. Already placed my next order!

A brighter shade of Rose Quartz

I had never had a strand of this variety of Quartz in my inventory. I was intrigued by the color and was not disappointed when it arrived. I quickly made up several pieces and was greatly pleased with the results. I'm sure my customers will be eager to own a piece of Cherry Quartz
