African Turquoise is a bit of a misnomer. In fact, this "turquoise" is in fact a treated jasper from Africa that mimics the look of natural turquoise. This gemstone is much more durable than natural turquoise and its design is extremely dramatic and varied from bead to bead. We love this stone for its dramatic color palette and find that it really pops when used with antique silver findings and chain! The gemstone most associated with the third chakra, this stone is said to help balance the past and prepare one for the future.
