Works great for gold prospecting
These do a great job for weighing gold, and pouring gold into a narrow mouthed vial (or a larger jar, which is even more easy).
I use two trays: one to hold gold, and an empty one to place onto the scale for tare weight.
Once the scale is zeroed out, I pour the gold onto the scale to measure the net weight of the gold. Then I take the full tray off the scale and pour the gold into the vial using one of the corners.
A simpler, more reliable process now. I used to have to use a piece of flimsy paper, which sometimes would result in spilled gold. No more messes, these are essential tools I'll always use.
