Great Price
I, unfortunately, purchased Tool Magic Dip from another supplier. However, I can tell you that it is a wonderful product. It takes a bit to dry once placed on your tools, but that small amount of time is worth being able to protect your project from marring. I'll purchase it from Jewelry Supply next time!

Do not care for
It doesn't hold up well and getting the amount that goes on the pliers right is difficult. If you deposit too much it changes the guage of your wire and if you put too little, it comes off and leaves divets in the material.

Awesome Product!
Tool Magic works very well! Easy to use...relieved some stress in my hands from holding the pliers so tight. Ordered 2...one had a loose lid in it's own packaging and leaked some, but it peeled easily from the container. I will order this again.

Disappointed
I was very excited to use this product so when it came in I instantly used it after reading the instructions. I waited until the next day to use my tools and by the end of the day it was already starting to come off and I don’t work with my jewelry making tools more then a couple hours at a time. Too much trouble for something I expected to last longer

VERY STRONG SMELL
I am glad I came across this product. It definitely helps with keeping scratches and dings from appearing on your finished wire project. I did not like the smell although it disappears after the solution has dried on the tool. It does take a lot longer to dry than I expected.

Protects wire from tool marks
I use this product on my chain nose, flat, and bent nose pliers and rarely have tool marks on my wire. It's great to grip the wire - just not too tight!

Short Storage Life After Opening
I love the product for coating my tools. I usually plan on re-dipping them every few days after long days of use to let them dry overnight. Product cleans off easily, so not a big deal. I was out of the studio for a month or so and found the product was no longer viable in the jar. It was closed tight but got thick and I was not able to thin it down. Since so little is used at a time a smaller package would be helpful so not so much gets wasted.

Works as promised!
I decided to try this after a frustrating experience of having my pliers scrape the color off black-coated copper wire as I was shaping it. I considered buying a separate pair of plastic-jawed pliers, but decided to try the less-expensive approach of using Tool Magic on an extra pair of regular pliers. I'm happy with the results and will just renew the coating as it wears off.

Works as advertised
Tool Magic does exactly what it says it does! It's easy to use and forms a soft, rubbery, easily removable coating on the surface of the tool. I do chain maille with aluminum, bright and anodized, and the Tool Magic does prevent my tools from scratching the anodized rings. I have found, though, that it decreased my precision with my tools, which resulted in more slips that if I was using uncoated tools. The slips also tended to "tear" the coating along the edge of my tools, leading to small flaps of the coating that further got in the way. I found I prefer to work without the coating and go a little slower, using better technique, to avoid marring my rings. An interesting but unimportant point: if working with bright aluminum, the coating will darken over time from contact with the aluminum oxide. The coating also tends to form impressions of the rings.
