Time to replace my beading mats!

These mats are nice and soft. I wish there were a gray color in the pack; rather, they are yellowish tones. Sometimes I like to photograph jewelry on these mats. They are great for keeping things from rolling around too much!

Q: What are these mats made of? Are they fleece fabric? Foam? Smooth surface or a little texture? Do they stay in place on work surfaces or do they slide around?

A: They are made of a smooth foam. They will stay in place depending on the surface that they are set on. They don't slide around. If your work station is a highly polished table then you might want to put something under it to keep it from sliding.
