Easy to work with

I am a relative novice working with jewellery wire but this was easy to work with and pretty. I made several pairs of earrings and this wire was a comfort diameter for that purpose.

Q: what does dead-soft vs half-hard mean? thanks

A: Dead soft means very little temper in the wire. It bends easily without resistance. Half Hard has a little temper and is does not bend as easily. It also retains its shape more than dead soft.

Q: Is this solid silver without brass or other metal core?

A: Sterling Silver is 92.5% silver with other metals mixed together, there is no 'core' to the wire, it is all silver wire.

Q: Which for wire rings: dead-soft or half-hard. The rings would have curved details so the wire would need to be malleable enough to bend but durable enough to hold its shape. Which do you recommend?

A: This 20 gauge dead soft wire is what we have used in the past to make rings.
