The Magic Finding

Using the Magic Finding as a Connector

The Magic Finding has 7 holes that can be used to connect many different things to your jewelry designs. Connect things to the Magic Finding by inserting any combinations of the following inserts into the holes of your Magic Finding; beading string, head pins, eye pins, Omega inserts and metal wire.

There are many ways to use the Magic Finding as a connector, use your imagination to come up with new ideas, or take a look at the directions below that demonstrate how the Magic Finding is can be used as a connector.

Using the Magic Finding as a connector

Using Your Omega Insert to Connect a Clasp to a Beading String

First attach your beading string to your Magic Finding. Then assemble your clasp to an Omega Insert and put the Omega Insert into two opposite holes of your Magic Finding. Then crimp the Magic Finding using The Patented Magic Finding Plier, as per the directions for Crimping the Finding Using the Magic Crimp Forming Pliers.

Using the Magic Finding in an Earring Design

The example at right, shows an earring with 3 strands of "looped" beading string.

Insert a head pin through a bead and then put your head pin through the middle hole of a Magic Finding. Using a pair of round nose pliers take the end of the head pin and make a loop with it. Then attach an earring hook to your loop. Next string your beading string according to the illustration to your right. Then crimp the Magic Finding using The Patented Magic Finding Plier.

Using the Magic Finding as a Multi Strand Divider

Using the Magic Finding to create Multple Strand Jewelry Designs

One way you can use this finding is as a multi strand divider of up to 7 strands. Simply thread your beading string into the Magic Finding and continue threading your beading string through the 2 (or more) Magic Findings until you have achieved the number of strands desired for your design.

Creating a Multi Strand Design

Remember: Make sure you keep about 1/8” to 1/4” space between your Magic Finding and your beads, so that you have room to crimp your Magic Finding using The Magic Finding Pliers as seen in the video at the bottom of this page. The bigger the beads and the more strands you have the more space you will need.

Depending on your design and the number of strands in it, there are several ways to multi strand your designs using the Magic Finding, the two main ways are:

  1. Going back and forth with only one piece of beading string between two or more Magic Findings.
  2. Using one or more additional beading strings between two or more Magic Findings.

In necklaces, bracelets and anklets make sure that the ends of your beading string go through the Magic Finding at least 2 times for maximum strength, as seen in the pictures below and in the above demo. Once you have assembled your design, crimp it into a round bead shape using The Patent Magic Forming Pliers as seen in the video at the bottom on this page

Crimping the Magic Finding Using the Magic Finding Pliers

The Basics of Crimping with the Magic Finding Pliers

  1. Before crimping, assemble your jewelry design.
  2. Place the assembled Magic Finding in the LARGER HOLE of the pliers.
Remember:
  1. It is important  that every time you crimp with your pliers to always push and hold the Omega Insert in The Magic Finding before and during the crimping process.
  2. To avoid marking the omega inserts with you pliers; make sure that the Magic Finding is centered and well seated in the concave holes of the pliers before you crimp.
  3. Make sure you keep about 1/8" to 1/4" space between your beads and your Magic Finding with an omega insert assembled in it when you crimp your finding.

• Crimp the finding by squeezing the pliers, rotate the finding 90 degrees and squeeze again, repeat 3-4 times until the pliers' jaws are completely closed.
• Repeat the same procedure in the SMALLER HOLE making sure that the bead is well rounded and the pliers' jaws are fully closed.

Crimping with the Omega Insert

Make sure the Omega Insert is properly inserted into the Magic Finding.

If your Magic Finding has an Omega Insert in it, make sure the Omega is fully inserted in the Magic Finding, so that the ends of the Omega Insert stick out.

Crimping the Magic Finding with the Omega Insert

To avoid slipping, apply pressure to keep the Omega Insert in place.

Crimping the Magic Finding with the Omega Insert

Each time you crimp the Magic Finding with Omega Inserts, press the Omega Insert with your finger so that the ends keep sticking out. If at any time the ends of the Omega Insert slip back in to the Magic Finding press them back out before proceeding

When beginning to crimp, keep the Omega Insert parallel with your pliers.

Crimping the Magic Finding with the Omega Insert

Make sure the Omega runs parallel to the jaws of The Patented Magical Crimp Forming Tool when you FIRST crimp the Magic Finding. After you have first crimped the Omega Insert in a parallel position to the pliers, you can then rotate it 90 degrees and continue crimping it. Do not crimp the Magic Finding until all components have been attached.
