Q: Your description says that this is a glass top, but your photo shows it is black lid when closed. I am confirming that this is a glass top. Also, can you give me the dimension? And does it lock with a key?

A: Yes, it is a glass top. The dimensions are 14-⅞" W x 8-⅜" D x 2-⅛" H and it includes a lock and key.

Q: I know this said it comes with an insert but can a different insert be placed in it? For instance the FI181 insert or 2 half size trays for added versatility?

A: The bottom of this case is lined in black felt so an insert is not needed. However, if you want different functionality, inserts are sold separately.

Q: What inserts would help display a necklace and earrings in this case? I am having a custom necklace and pair of earrings made for our 10th anniversary, which symbol for ten years is aluminum. Since this case says it is aluminum, that's all the closer for the symbol that I can get. I will buy immediately upon your recommendations.

A: What a great idea with the aluminum case for your 10 year anniversary! I believe that the best thing to do would be to get our velvet display pad item number PA102 and use the U-Pins item number UP301 to pin the jewelry in place.

Q: Do you need to remove the existing felt liner to put a new insert or can your standard insert fit over the existing liner. For example, I am considering using a PA502 (Standard Size 3x4 Black Velvet Jewelry Tray Insert) with this case. Any modifications to the case or tray insert required?

A: The felt bottom isn't removable and you can lay a standard insert on top of it.
