What a fabulous Labor Day weekend I have planned! Up at dawn each day to run 5 miles, and then a hearty breakfast, followed by golf, or perhaps tennis, then a little time by the pool to work on my tan. Every evening there is a gala party to attend, chock full of opportunities to rub elbows with stars and dignitaries from around the world! It's going to be a very special Labor Day weekend!

Oh, who am I fooling? My real plan is to spend the entire weekend lying on the couch, watching old movies and eating stale popcorn. Except for attending the Labor Day Barbecue at my brothers house. I definitely will drag myself off the couch for that!

Last Labor Day I was invited to attend a neighbor's house for their barbecue, where we enjoyed a yummy selection of everyone's favorite holiday meal; Tofu Dogs and Soy Burgers served on Wheat Germ Buns with a side dish of Boston Baked Bean Curd. The entire meal was "cooked" in a cardboard box covered with aluminum foil and left in the sun for seven hours! It was an interesting Labor Day meal I guess, but personally, I prefer the smell of burning charcoal briquettes, smoke in my eyes, and Meat Bees buzzing about!
