Is it me? I went to a party the other night and I couldn't believe it, there were actually people there who didn't make jewelry! I know what you're thinking, but it's true! I tried to casually work it into a few conversations, you know, to kind of educate a few people to what they were missing, but they just looked at me like I was an alien!

I mean really! What kind of a person doesn't make jewelry? I know I should be more considerate of others, and that everybody has their own "thing". But jeez, they don't make jewelry!

Look, I can understand that some people are talented in music or painting or quilting or a thousand other things. But how can you not make jewelry? It's fun, it's profitable, and you can actually wear what you make. What could be better than that?

At the party, someone told me that there was more to life than making jewelry. So I asked, "Really? Exactly what would that be?" Their response was, "you know, family, and friends, and blah blah blah..." I guess at that point I kind of stopped listening and began thinking, "what the heck's wrong with these people?" We're talking about making Jewelry!

Okay, maybe I am exaggerating a bit. But once you start, it's very hard to think about doing anything else.
