Earring hooks

I really love the antique brass earring hooks that I ordered. This was my first order from jewelrysupply.com and I was very impressed and will continue to order my earring hooks from them. I have previously been using earring hooks from a local retail store but not completely happy with them because they seemed of cheap quality. However, the earring hooks I ordered from jewelrysupply.com are of great quality as they are much sturdier than the store bought earring hooks. The quality of earrings hooks is important to me because the earrings my customers purchase from me are a reflection of my work and materials.

Q: Are these earrings hypoallergenic? will it turn colors if it get wet?

A: Unfortunately, they are not hypoallergenic and they should not be worn in water to preserve the plating.

Q: Since there are no requirements that have to be met to call something "nickel free", can you tell me if these earrings meet EU regulations for nickel content (migration of 0.2 µg/cm2/week or less)?
