Our 1.40mm diameter twist drills with electroplated diamond particles are the ultimate for drilling stones, pearls, glass or ceramics. Use with any motorized hand drill. This Swiss made 3/32" shank drill features a medium-fine grit, and is 1-3/4" in length. Remember to always use a lubricant such as BR180 to prevent overheating and possible damage to the drill.

But is too thin for Dremel

The bit cut nicely through glass, however it is so skinny the Dremel couldn’t grip it well and it kept falling out of the shaft. Very frustrating!

Q: What is the life of this bit? Have purchased others through Amazon and after using to cut hole through 1 or 2 polished apache tears or amythest crystals ( no more than 3\16 inch thick ), they are throw aways. Drilling was done while under water so was done properly

A: Unfortunately, it has not been tested. The life expectancy of a diamond-coated drill bit can vary depending on several factors, including the quality of the diamond coating, the hardness and abrasiveness of the materials being drilled, the drilling conditions (such as speed and pressure), and the overall design and construction of the drill bit.
