Fire Polishing: After a Glass Bead is created, the bead is once again subjected to heat and flame. This intense heat melts the surface of the bead, smoothing the rough edges and flat surface areas. As the bead cools, it retains the "soft" finish, which makes for a beautiful, uniformly shaped bead, featuring great depth and clarity.

Not the color I was imagining
Although this is not the color I was hoping for, I have never met a fire polish bead I didn't like, or that I couldn't use. I will come in handy no matter what!
