Fire Polishing: After a Glass Bead is created, the bead is once again subjected to heat and flame. This intense heat melts the surface of the bead, smoothing the rough edges and flat surface areas. As the bead cools, it retains the "soft" finish, which makes for a beautiful, uniformly shaped bead, featuring great depth and clarity.

One of my favorite colors

I have to keep this bead in my collection. It is one of my "go to" beads because the color goes with just about every other color out there. When used with different size and lighter color beads, the Amethyst color pops.

I have to have a lot of Amethyst in the stash!

It's a lovely color. So many Amethyst beads are looking a little muddy, but I really like these.
