This curb chain has 5.5mm x 3.3mm flat oval links with a slight twist. The twist in the curb chain links causes it to lie flat when worn in jewelry designs. Use this chain for your necklace, bracelet anklet, and earring designs. It is made from marine grade 316 stainless steel which is strong and impervious to rust, corrosion, and tarnishing. Very Strong Chain

This is a very strong substantial chain--perfect for men's jewelry. It's the perfect chain to hold substantial medals. It's SS so I assume it will stay new-looking for many years. This is definitely for men's jewelry.

Q: The one part of the description says it is 8 x 5.5 and the written part says 5.5mm x 3.3mm flat oval links. I need to know what the actual size is. Can you please let me know ASAP?

A: The larger measurement is the outside measurement and the smaller measurement is the inside.

Q: Hello, I was wondering if this chain is genuine stainless steel or if it is plated with another metal? The reason I ask is because I am looking for a chain to hang toys for my parrot in their cage, and certain metals (like zinc found in galvanized metal and sometimes incorporated into chrome) are extremely toxic to birds. Thank you!

Q: Is this chain durable enough to hold up a sleeve? It would be as crossed sort of like a corset to hold together 2 halves a sleeve for a sweatshirt. I'm selling them as well so i need to know if it's strong enough.

Q: Can you explain those measurements how wide is that chain? And are those welded or unwelded links? Thanks

A: The links are 8mm long x5.5mm wide. They are not closed links. Due to the superior strength of Surgical Stainless Steel it isn't necessary to have soldered links.
