Carnelian is the name of a specific color of agate. Since the name Carnelian comes from the Latin word for flesh (carnis), and applies to any agate that is red to brown red in color. Years ago, Carnelian was used for seals. It is moderately hard and capable of a good polish. Carnelian has been used for thousands of years. The ancient Egyptians filled tombs with this chalcedony quartz because they thought it was a great power and could help on the soul’s journey to the afterlife. It is found in Brazil, Australia, Russia, South America and the United States. Carnelian is thought to stop the flow of blood, help wounds heal, and aid in the curing of blood diseases.

Was very happy with the beads
I thought I was ordering big beads were very small I wish there was a way to really tell the size of the bead before u buy them , I used them to repair my tigers eye beaded necklace so worked , great color though , but way to small !

Beautiful
These beads are the perfect shade of orange. Most are clear and none with flaws large enough where I couldn't use them.

Good Carnelian Beads
I like that price of less than 5 cents a bead when on Flash Sale. I find that there are a lot of variations in the stone. I like them, yet don't love them. I also only use them for spacers.
