Wonderful Silver Color

This metallic silver leaf is truly beautiful. It is an elegant shade of silver...not too dark nor too bright. Its not just for jewelry. I also used it to freshen up the silvered edge of a mirror.

Q: Can you paint this on to restore the look of costume jewelry?

A: Brush n Leaf is more for craft projects, to give a non-metallic object the look of metal. If you are trying to restore shine to a metallic object you might want to try one of our cleaning products. Either a cloth or a dip that removes tarnish might solve your problem.

Q: Can I sand paper my project after applying it to wood ?

A: sanding will remove the majority of the rub n buff, so we would not recommend it. Thanks

Q: I have a pair of antique candlesticks. My husband thought they were tarnished and tried a silver polish, but it took off the remaining silver instead, and now show a dull base metal. I would like to try the metallic silver leaf, either the paste or the brush-on. The candlesticks are 16" high by 3 1/2" diameter at the base, tapering to 1/2" at the top, in a double spindle shape. Can you estimate how much of either product it would take to cover both of them? I would like to fix them up and use in a holiday display.

A: It depends on how thick you apply it but 1 fl. oz is 1.8 cubic inches.
