Q: What does the number 4 mean? What is a good number thread to use to string size 8 seed beads and or 4mm sized bicone beads?

A: The numbers on the card is how Griffin does the sizing. The millimeter sizes are also on the card to make it easier to determine what size the cord is. For size 8 seed beads and 4mm bicone beads you can probably go with a #3.
