Nothing Better for Pearls

I've strung 50 strings of pearls in the last few months and this is wonderful silk cord. Knots during the stringing process are annoying and this thread stays smooth with few problems with pulling-knotting. When they do occur, a needle nose tweezers does the trick working it apart to keep moving on with the project.

Q: how do i know what thickness my thread should be? The holes are very tiny

A: A lot of places that sell beads will have the bead hole sizes listed. You can go back to where you bought them to find out the bead hole size. Or you can use a piece of wire of a known size to see if it fits snug. You will want your bead cord to be close to the hole size so that there isn't a lot of space inside the bead hole so that there is less friction. Having loose beads will cause your bead cord to possibly break.

Q: Is this good for tin cup necklace- restring ?

A: The silk cord is good for making tin cup style necklaces. You may want to use one that is a bit thicker though depending on the size of the holes in your beads.
