I'm a jewelry enthusiast of 12 years.
This tool works best on heavy wire. It's consistently accurate although it requires hand strength.

Q:
Three questions: What is the brand name? How closely to a bead will these cut? How large will the loop be? Thank you

A:
This tool is made by The Bead Smith. It will make a loop with an inner diameter of 1.5mm and will form the loop snug against the bead with little slack.

Q:
I have been experimenting with the Beadsmith One Step 1.5 mm looper with beads on a headpin, and I can't get the tool to make the loop snug against the bead. I end up with about 1-2 mm of headpin wire between the bead and the loop. Is there some trick to make the loop snug against the bead? Rather than nice tight dangles, I end up with dangles on which beads move up and down.

A:
Once you have made the loop as close as you can get it you may need to use a pair of round nose pliers to manipulate the loop and make it bigger and closer to the bead.

Q:
can you use these to wire wrap a bead ?

A:
Unfortunately this tool can not do that as it does cut the wire when making a loop.
