Basic Techniques... How to Open and Close a Jump Ring |
With Pliers.
Step One  |
Twist open the Jump Ring using a chain nose plier (PL490) and round nose(PL491). |
Step Two  |
Never pull the jump ring apart to open (you man be unable to put the jumpring back to its original shape). |
Step Three  |
Attach your item and close the jump ring using the same techniques as step 1. |
With Jump Ring Opener.
Step One  |
Use jump ring opener(PL169) and hold jump ring with pliers (PL490). |
Step Two  |
Slip jump ring in the most compatible slot of opener. |
Step Three  |
Twist open jump ring with pliers. Attach jump ring to your piece and twist back closed |
