Bracelets have been around for thousands of years. This fashion trend started out in Greece with men wearing leather bands as armor known as 'Barcel' (derived from the latin word for of the arm Brachile). Shortly there after, women took an interest to the adornments and began to create smaller versions of the Bracel, aptly named the bracelet. To this day the bracelet, like any jewelry piece, has been integrated right into fashion to show off wealth and style.
