Mardi Gras Projects
French for "Fat Tuesday", this is the name for the last day (or even the entire period between Epiphany and Ash Wednesday) to eat richer, fatty foods before Lent. In the UK and Ireland, this day is referred to as Shrove Tuesday. There are three colors commonly associated with the celebration of Mardi Gras; purple represents justice, green stands for faith, and gold is for power.
