Red Tiger's Eye is another name for Bull’s Eye (or sometimes Ox's Eye) which is commonly red with diverse brown stripes throughout. All shades of Tiger's Eye start out as Crocidolite (or asbestos). Over time quartz replaces the crocidolite, taking on the formations and color of the previous mineral. Other minerals such as iron and sodium dissolve over time as well, but varying amounts of iron and oxidation will determine whether the Tiger's Eye becomes reddish brown (Bull's or Ox's eye), golden brown (Tiger's eye) or bluish grey (Hawk's Eye)
