Blue Tiger's Eye is another name for Hawk’s Eye (or sometimes Falcon's Eye) which is commonly grey with diverse blues striped throughout. All shades of Tiger's Eye start out as Crocidolite (or asbestos). Over time quartz replaces the crocidolite, taking on the formations and color of the previous mineral. Other minerals such as iron and sodium dissolve over time as well, but varying amounts of iron will determine whether the Tiger's Eye becomes reddish brown (Bull's or Ox's eye), golden brown (Tiger's eye) or bluish grey (Hawk's Eye)
