Pietersite is a variety of tiger’s eye that is a mix of blue and gold sometimes referred to as “eagle’s eye” in China. Chinese Pietersite looks just like real gold and didn’t show up on the export market until the late 90’s. Until then, there was only one other working mine and that was in Namibia. It was discovered by Sid Pieters and is said to stimulate the mind. |
